Come mettere online un Podcast?
Un podcast non funziona come Youtube, nel senso che non vai su di un sito, carichi il tuo file multimediale, che in ambito podcast si tratta di una traccia audio, e poi tutto il mondo lo ascolta dalla piattaforma che hai scelto per la pubblicazione.
È un po’ più complicata la faccenda.
Per avere un tuo podcast online, devi caricare il file audio su un sito che in termini tecnici i podcaster chiamano repository.
I siti più famosi come repository sono: Spreaker, Anchor e Libsyn.
Questi siti repository hanno la semplice funzione di mettere il tuo podcast su, online, restituirti un link che poi dovrai inserire nelle piattaforma di Podcast.
Vediamo insieme come funzionano e quali sono i passi da fare per vedere pubblicato il tuo podcast.
Creare un Podcast su Spreaker
Spreaker è il più famoso sito repository di podcast in Italia. Loro sono italiani anche se di base hanno sede negli Stati Uniti. Hanno l’ambizione di diventare oltre che un repository, anche un sito alla YouTube di ascolto Podcast. Offrono con un piano a pagamento la possibilità di pubblicarlo su Spotify e di avere una vera e propria console di registrazione, che si chiama Rec.
Creare un Podcast su Lybsyn
Libsyn è il primo che ha offerto la possibilità di caricare le tracce audio. Fa esattamente quello che serve ai grandi distributori podcast, ti restituisce un flusso rss che serve per avere il podcast ovunque nel web.
Creare un Podcast su Anchor
Anchor è simile a Libsyn ma è un po’ più semplificato. Per avere il podcast dentro Apple, occorre avere un profilo iTunes, registrandosi al seguente indirizzo: https://appstoreconnect.apple.com e registrare il proprio rss restituito da uno dei repository sopra.
Avere il Podcast su Spotify
Spotify è stata la grande rivoluzione nell’ambito podcast.
Spotify è nata proprio per l’audio e proprio con questo core business. Così forte dei numeri già acquisiti con la musica, ha recentemente fatto una serie di acquisizioni, tra cui Anchor, per spingere sui podcast.
Ad oggi dalle nostre statistiche è la principale fonte di traffico per i podcaster user-genereted-content. Per avere il tuo podcast dentro Spotify, devi andare su https://podcasters.spotify.com e registrare il flusso rss restituito da uno dei repository come Anchor.
Nel caso si abbia già il proprio podcast su Spotify, perché servizi come Spreaker, a pagamento, lo caricano per voi, si può reclamare il proprio podcast, nella sezione claim e poi questo lo vedrete in catalog.
Avere il Podcast su Google Podcast
Google Podcast è l’ultimo nato, ma è quello più promettente, dal momento che ha numeri e la grande ricerca del suo motore di risultati online.
Da poco ha aperto alla registrazione mondiale dei podcast, prima era un servizio disponibile solo in Nord America.
Ha integrato i podcast nei risultati di ricerca di Google, ha creato una app per i dispositivi Android e permette la diffusione sul suo assistente vocale Google Home. Per avere il tuo podcast nel mondo Google, devi registrarlo su: https://play.google.com/music/podcasts/portal e qui registrare il tuo podcast.
Altri sistemi per la pubblicazione del Podcast
Ad oggi ci sono altri luoghi e giganti nel mondo del podcast, che però meritano un discorso a parte.
Questi sono il social Soundcloud, Amazon e Storytel. Vediamoli insieme.
Soundclound
Soundcloud è forse il più antico luogo del web dove caricare i tuoi podcast, o tracce audio. Ha sempre avuto l’ambizione di essere lo Youtube degli audio, ma di fatto non c’è mai riuscito ad oggi. Attualmente è anche a pagamento. Viene usato sopratutto in ambito di podcast o audio privati da diffondere a gruppi limitati.
Ad esempio: se avessimo un nostro gruppo a pagamento, a cui mandiamo degli audio o delle tracce, soundcloud è ottimo perchè permette di avere delle opzioni di privacy, ha un ottima gestione delle tracce e funziona anche da repository.
Da soundcloud possiamo avere un flusso rss da usare per Spotify, Google Podcast e Apple Podcast, ma lo spazio è limitate e la versione flat con spazio illimitato parte da piani che costano 10 euro al mese.
Audible, i podcast di Amazon
Audible by Amazon si è da poco lanciata nel mondo del podcast. Forte della sua struttura nata per avere gli audio dei libri, ha fatto da poco il passo di puntare anche su serie Podcast.
Non si tratta però di contenuti generati dagli utenti, bensì c’è una scelta editoriale dietro, che è quella del team Audible, che investe su dei progetti specifici, li produce anche in casa e per ascoltarli si paga un abbonamento mensile di 10 euro
Storytel
Storytel è l’ultimo arrivato, ha una gestione simile a quella di Audible, di cui è il principale competitor mondiale. Ha una piattaforma in abbonamento dove ascoltare audiolibri e da poco anche podcast. Si paga un abbonamento mensile per accedere e i podcast sono soggetti ad una scelta editoriale.
Conclusione
In questo momento fare un podcast è una opportunità simile a quelle che avevano le persone che nel 2012 avevano le prime persone che avviavano progetti su Facebook.
Fare podcast è un argomenti di cui parlano in tanti, ha l’attenzione e l’interesse di gente e media, ma sono in pochi ancora a farlo.
E’ una autostrada dunque per chiunque voglia investire in una impresa.
Può essere la tua impresa personale, un personal branding, oppure può essere un supporto alla tua impresa professionale, il content marketing.
I numeri sono ancora relativamente bassi e gli spazi per muoversi, crescere, avere l’attenzione e la giusta visibilità sono proporzionalmente alti.
