Abruzzo é una delle mete più belle e più economiche d’Italia, con la maggior parte dei luoghi ad ingresso gratuito e con spese che sono la metà di qualsiasi altro luogo d’Italia.
Costa dei Trabocchi
L’Abruzzo ha alcune delle spiaggia più belle d’Italia, mia su tutte svetta la Costa dei Trabocchi, famosa in tutto il mondo, qui si concentra il più alto numero di queste palafitte in legno storiche che una volta servivano per pescare e oggi sono diventati dei Ristoranti.
Noi abbiamo visitato la zona che va da Fossacesia fino a San Vito ne chietino e qui l’acqua è davvero bella. Vedi i pesci navigare a riva tranquilli.
Castello di Roccascalegna
Vicino alla Costa dei Trabocchi c’è uno dei castelli più belli d’Italia e tra i meno conosciuti, che si trova in Abruzzo su uno sperone di roccia che domina il borgo medievale di Roccascalegna, il vallone del Rio Secco e la vallata del Sangro, si tratta del castello di Roc
cascalegna.
Le Sorgenti del Pescara
Siamo andati a Popoli per una giornata di relax tra centri massaggi e fanghi e qui ci sono anche le suggestive sorgenti del fiume Pescara, il secondo più grande d’Italia. Questa zona è poco conosciuta, quella tra Popoli e il fiume Tirino, ma è assolutamente da conoscere.
Santo Stefano di Sessanio
Da qui abbiamo guidato fino a Santo Stefano di sessanio, un suggestivo borgo medioevale interamente costruito in pietra e caratterizzato da un dedalo di stradine tortuose e tunnel che si snodano tra case. Qui c’è una struttura di cui non avevo mai sentito parlare prima, è l’ albergo diffuso, un progetto che ti permette di dormire nelle abitazioni della città, ristrutturate in un’atmosfera d’altri tempi: si chiama Sextantio. Noi ci siamo fatti una bella chiacchierata col gelataio del paese.
Lago di Scanno e Gole del Sagittario
Il viaggio al lago è già di per sé una esperienza bellissima, guidare attraverso la gola del Sagittario: il panorama, la stretta strada tortuosa e le ripide pareti rocciose che termina con la spettacolare vista calma e rilassante del LAGO di Scanno, uno di quei posti in Italia che pochi conoscono, ma si tratta del lago più affascinante e più visitato d’Abruzzo nonché oggigiorno il suo lago più grande: un bellissimo specchio d’acqua incastonato tra i Monti Marsicani, a quasi mille metri d’altezza.
Questo lago ha una caratteristica che infiamma l’immaginazione di tutti: è un lago a forma di cuore. Ancora più suggestivo è sapere che l’origine del lago è naturale, questa forma a cuore così caratteristica è stata data a seguito di una frana dal Monte Genzana. Ma secondo un’antica leggenda, il lago si sarebbe formato in antichità, al tempo dei romani che già abitavano tutta questa area, quando un Re sovrano del posto si era invaghito di una Fata dei boschi e ne ordinò il rapimento. Per sfuggire ai rapitori, la fatina fece in modo che sotto i loro piedi si materializzasse un lago, nel quale sprofondarono re e inseguitori.
